Dismal Swamp is the name given to a sinkhole where Tasmania's famous Blackwood trees grow. Visitors to the site descend 40 metres down onto the board walked bottom of the swamp. Take a gentle walk or the main attraction - a 110 metre slide to the swamp floor.
The Visitor Centre has a cantilevered walkway suspended over the treetops, café and toilets with the best views about!
